Tao of jonathon posted a photo: Yes……these were my boots. I attempted to make them last until I could find another pair in a thrift shop. Having chosen to live a more simple lifestyle means learning to be conservative. I did find another pair of boots just before Christmas. They were so large, I can turn around in them three times. When I walk in them, they go clop, clop, clop. I need them to weld in, to protect my feet from being burned. As I was growing up, dad would always buy my shoes bigger, to allow my feet to grow in them. I was always self conscious of my big feet. I moved away from home and lived with a family while finishing my last year of school. The lady bought me a pair of shoes for Christmas and I learned that my feet were two sizes smaller than I thought they were. I was happy that I no longer wore shoes that looked like pontoons or clown’s slap shoes. 2012 is here and the message I would like to share is, lighten up and don’t take life so serious. Let go of the rigidity, fear and worrying about what others might think. Kick up your heels, do your own little victory dance, LOL!!!! Laugh every day. I stand in front of the mirror and laugh just to hear myself and watch the changing expressions on my face. Those are not wrinkles, they are laughter lines and I am proud of them.
