Chandra Bhedana Pranayama

Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda, founder of Yoga in Daily Life system teaching Pranayama. Chandra is the moon. Bhedana means passing through. Chandra Bhedana Pranayama inhalation and exhalation is done through the left nostril only. This is the path of the Ida Nadi. When you inhale solely through this nostril, it quiets your emotions and cools the body, cleanses the blood and respiratory system. Through the deeper breathing, the blood will be enriched with oxygen.
