I dont know why I feel strongly about this yoga mat, but I do. I found it at a clothing swap at a yoga studio, probably a mistake, but it was in the pile so yoink, and I love the power of the black print, even though I avoid black stuff because its dark, I love color, and beige is usually so blah, but anyway for some reason I just really like this mat. And I get a ton of compliments on it. Why, I have no idea. Its actually the first yoga mat that I really consider mine. Yay.

In terms of design, this mat is wonderful. It fits my style and comfort; the damask pattern gives me a sense of energy when I push into it.

This mat is very slippery and provides zero grip. I had to put it aside during my session and practice on the bare floor. I was slipping over half an inch per 15 seconds in down dog. The mat is nice aesthetically, but it is useless otherwise. Do not buy this mat. Could possibly be dangerous if you were to slip doing inversions.

When I first got this mat, I was concerned with the plastic smell and gave it only 2 stars.
I hang it up to air out for a few days and the smell is gone. It is a great soothing color, it feels just thick and sticky enough. Not to bulky, good for me to take on the subway and around all day.
Looks great, I use the reverse side because the pattern is distracting sometimes, the color is great.
My experience with purchasing this item was also great, it was shipped promptly and packaged well. I got the free shipping for orders over $25 with another item. It was marked as shipped only 2 days after I ordered and got to me in no time.
