I highly recommend the Jade harmony yoga mat. I am a yoga teacher and this mat suits everything I am looking for in a good mat for a very reasonable price. It seems very durable and I find it easy to move through the postures because it stays fixed in place whereas some other mats have moved around on me and it becomes burdensome while teaching. I found no odor at all as mentioned in other reviews and also it is just the right size, however, it is a heavy mat in weight. But I love this mat and will purchase another one soon!

I love the thickness of the mat, and the color. The downside is that being a "sticky" mat, it collects hair and fuzz from the floor. Also, during Hot Yoga I still slipped a little and had to use a towel for stability.

I do power vinyasa yoga 4-7 days a week and I absolutely love this mat. It is extremely sticky (much more so than my old Prana mat) and it remains sticky even once I begin to sweat. You are still going to want a towel handy just in case, but the confidence of knowing that my feet and hands aren't going to move has really improved my practice. It does smell like rubber, but that doesn't really bother me. I don't think I'll ever buy a different mat.

I tried to use this mat on a carpet floor and it did not work well. It kept moving and getting all wrinkled up, so it may only work well if it is used on hard floors. I don't plan on taking it to yoga class since it is too heavy to carry. I purchase it to use it at home on a carpet floor but that did not work well.

I just got this mat and I love it. It is heavy compared to your run-of-the-mill Gaiam mat and because it is so grippy, it really stays in place on carpeted floors. Also I love that it's heaviness keeps it from curling up on the ends; once it is spread out, it lies totally flat right away. The place mine was purchased from didn't have them wrapped in plastic, they just have a paper label around them, so mine must have had time to air out; there is almost no rubber smell unless you put your face right up against the mat. It feels really thick but it is bouncy, you don't feel like you are sinking in, it is really stable. I got the orchid color and it is just gorgeous, it is a cross between a lavender and a rose color. Highly recommend this mat, it feels like it is going to last a long time!
